path: C:\\pcsx2\cheats\XXXXYYYY.pnach will be written in the console log. PCSX2 will try to open C:\\pcsx2\cheats\XXXXYYYY.pnach file.Īnd a massage said Open the pnach file. If the cheats folder is located in C:\\pcsx2\cheats\ and the game's CRC is XXXXYYYY, and when you hit the menu, Implementing the cheat editor would be a great idea. Opening the file with notepad.exe is just one of the solutions. It will help a lot of users including newbie.

You no longer need to find the CRC and search the file. If the file doesn't exist, PCSX2 will generate the file first, and then open the file. If the pnach file already exists, PCSX2 will just open the file with text editor like notepad.exe. Once you boot a game, the menu will be available and open the currently running game's pnach file in the folder which you configured as a cheats folder. This menu will be grayed out when you don't load any game. I made sure to save the Codebreaker changes to the memory card and all the codes are indeed selected and on, but nothing that I add works whatsoever.Adding a menu item named "Open Pnach File." into System>Game Settings, just below "Enable Cheats". I have been adding negative operators to death (-) to my search terms to exclude irrelevant information which typically leads to junk unrelated to even gaming results. Also many results in Google pertain to PCSX2 which I am NOT USING. All the codes that were preinstalled work flawlessly.

I tried burned games and actual PS2 discs and codes that I add manually do not seem to work whatsoever. I am using the NTSC-U versions of all games.

All that seems to come up are people using the PAL or JAP versions of games which is NOT the case for me. I have been Googling around for five hours and I cannot find anything related to my issue. Two of the games that I added manually are Okami, and Mortal Kombat Armageddon I verified multiple times that the codes are indeed entered in correctly. However, none of the cheat codes that I added manually are working with ANY game. Sadly, there are about 12 games so far that I want to use codes for that codes do not come preinstalled on the Codebreaker that I added manually. I have the latest version of Free McBoot and it comes with Codebreaker 9.2
